Describe the materials, not just the pile
- Removed cabinets, doors and trim
- Wood, paneling and drywall debris
- Flooring and other non-hazardous renovation waste
Weight changes the job
A small stack of tile or concrete can outweigh a much larger pile of wood. List dense materials separately and describe their approximate amount. Concrete, brick, soil and roofing materials need individual review before a pickup is agreed.
Pickup is separate from demolition
This service is for debris that is already removed. Tell us if nails are exposed, materials are behind a gate or the pile is spread across several areas. Do not include suspected asbestos, liquids or unidentified chemicals in a general debris pile.
Questions about construction debris pickup
Can you take a mixed renovation pile?
Call with a description of each material. Mixed loads need review for weight, handling and disposal restrictions.
Will Town bulk collection take contractor debris?
Brookhaven’s published bulk guidance excludes major renovation and contractor-generated debris. Check the Town’s current rules for your address, or call to discuss private removal.
Should I bag everything?
Ask first. Heavy materials can break bags or become unsafe to lift. Photos and an approximate material list are more useful than repackaging the pile before a quote.
