A Town of Brookhaven address may be in a hamlet or an incorporated village. Village services and collection rules can differ. Use your actual property address when checking eligibility, not just the postal town on a letter.
What the Town’s bulk guidance says
The Town’s published bulk page lists a maximum of four bulk items per pickup, collected on the applicable Thursday or Friday. Preparation rules apply. Major renovation and contractor-generated debris are excluded. Check the official guidance for your specific item and current schedule before setting it out.

Do not move heavy items just to ask for a quote
Call with their current location. If you choose a private pickup, the access can be reviewed before you move anything. If you choose public collection, follow the provider’s placement and preparation instructions.
Village residents
For Bellport Village, start with the official village website and its sanitation information. For Patchogue, Port Jefferson, Lake Grove and other incorporated villages, confirm the current provider and rules for the property rather than assuming the Town schedule applies.
